Anionic Surfactant
Anionic surfactants are one of the most common and important types of surfactants, widely used in the detergent and cosmetic industries. These substances have a negative charge on the hydrophilic part of their molecule and are therefore called anions.
Anionic surfactants aid in the cleaning process by reducing the surface tension between water and dirt. The hydrophobic part of the molecule sticks to the fat and oil in the dirt, and the hydrophilic part binds to the water. In this way, dirt particles are separated from the surface and suspended in the water.
Applications of anionic surfactants
Detergent industries: Used in the production of shampoo, hand wash, dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent and other detergent products.
Cosmetics and health industries: Used in the production of lotions, creams and other cosmetic and health products.
Textile industries: Used as a moisturizer and detergent in the textile industry.
Oil and gas industries: Used in oil and gas drilling and extraction processes.
Advantages of anionic surfactants
High cleaning power: They remove fats and oils well.
Good foaming: They create abundant foam in detergent products.
Reasonable price: They are more affordable than other types of surfactants.
